City Club Business Member Matthew Klein is the co-Founder and CEO of Backbone, Boulder's fastest-growing solution provider for product development and design software, paving the way for thousands of successful and emerging designers. With decades of experience in the retail and consumer goods industries, Matthew built an extensive knowledge of getting products to market and tackling the industry’s largest hurdles developing quality consumer products while reducing waste and improving speed-to-market. 

Matthew has been in Boulder since 2015 where he enjoys spending time with his wife Merry and three kids Tate (5), Cole (3), and Grey (1). Matthew grew up in South Florida, attended Florida State University, and spent almost a decade in New York City before moving to Boulder. The mountains were calling Matthew as he loves the outdoors and all that Colorado has to offer. His enthusiasm for tennis and skiing keeps him busy year-round.
