They say the only constant is change, and that if we don’t initiate and embrace change, then change happens to us, making us feel like a victim.
Building a community is a journey, not a destination, hence the work is never done, and progress and change never stops.
After forty years of renovating and building Highland, its gardens and residences as a home for City Club, last year we started focusing on City Club’s operations, technology and team building. Now that we are finally executing on these plans, we are getting all sorts of feedback from “I love the new cappuccino machine on the third floor,” to “I can’t imagine City Club without the Friday Happy Hours.”
As part of our year-end planning, we have updated our Charter and prepared a summary of our changes effective January 1, 2020. We will share these documents with you next Friday via this newsletter, and forward a copy to each member under separate cover to make sure everyone is in the loop and on board. Meanwhile, enjoy the journey and trust we will never stop adding to, improving upon and perfecting your City Club experience.
