Drew Esson

I have lived in Boulder for over 20 years and raised my family here. We have two boys, Cutter(23) and Charlie(20). Cutter works for Amazon Web Services, and Charlie is a Sophomore at the University of Wisconsin. My wife, Timolyn, and I are approaching our 25th anniversary of marriage.

I started my career at Andersen Consulting, now Accenture, doing Systems Integration work. From there I moved to SignalSoft, which was a Boulder start-up that laid the foundations for location services in the wireless industry. After a short stint at another start-up, I spent 9 years at DigitalGlobe (now Maxar) leading partnership programs that built relationships with companies that leveraged satellite imagery for commercial applications. I now manage Product Marketing for a Kansas City-based health technology start-up. I have a wide range of experience and the scars to prove it.

Outside of work I love outdoor sports ranging from golf to mountain climbing. My goal is to climb all of the 14ers before my knees give out. I spent 4 years in Vail after graduating from Princeton and am still an avid skier. I place a high value on teaming with my wife to build a successful family life, and a successful career.
