Phil Armstrong
Phil Armstrong moved to Colorado fifteen years ago because he loves living in the mountains. He holds a BA from Colorado College and an MBA from the University of Colorado. Phil is an entrepreneur working in the utility-scale renewable energy space, and is a principal at North Star Renewables, which helps large energy buyers and utilities purchase renewable energy.
Phil is big fan of local and community scale agriculture, and is currently working on an effort to partner young farmers and ranchers with affordable financing for land in Colorado, while incorporating conservation easements. The partnership pairs impact capital with a long-term lease-to-own model for farmers.
In his free time Phil enjoys exploring the rural corners of the Rockies, often with a fishing rod in hand, and can occasionally be spotted hauling a bike trailer of produce as a volunteer for Boulder Food Rescue.
Phil enjoys City Club's outstanding lunch cuisine while having interesting conversations at the community table.
