Sara Ross

Sara is the oldest of three daughters, all born and raised in Boulder within a mile from the historic Highland School building. After graduation from Boulder High, Sara spent 10 nomadic years exploring the world outside the Boulder Bubble. When she graduated from Barnard College at Columbia University in New York City, Sara wasn’t quite ready to settle down; so, she spent six months working at a pub in Galway, Ireland before moving to San Francisco and attending law school at Hastings. After a couple of years doing the big city law firm gig, Sara happily heeded Chief Niwot’s call to return home loving Boulder more than ever for having lived away for a while.

Life as a lawyer has become something Sara truly loves. After years as a family law litigator, she transitioned her practice to focus exclusively on settlement work, mediation, Collaborative Law, pre and post-nuptial agreements and on cannabis business transactional work. Sara enjoys spending her days supporting an exciting new industry and helping folks who are facing life’s toughest challenges.

When she’s not working, Sara is happiest spending time with her husband, Michael, who also graduated from Boulder High the same year, though they did not officially meet until ten years later! She loves making pottery, yoga, dancing, spending time outdoors, reading books, and being with friends and family.
