Kay is always engaged doing something new and cool. Her current company, Farm&Oven Snacks, makes veggies taste like cake, with each pack of soft, chewy mini-muffins containing 40% of the recommended daily veggies.

Brett McKay is the lead digital producer for Grounds for Promotion located on the second floor north suite. Having spent the last decade developing his SEO & Digital Marketing chops, Brett has strived to learn as much as he can from mentors in Berkeley, Providence and Boulder.

Lindsay Nason is an account manager and digital marketer at Grounds for Promotion. She creates and promotes digital content for businesses to help them generate leads to market their products or services. Prior to working at Grounds for Promotion, Lindsay served two years in the Peace Corps as an Entrepreneurship Educator in Nicaragua.

Rebecca Schwager is smart, nice, tough and effective, using these talents as the Operations Manager for Frontline Mind, a human performance company offering online and live training in leadership, resilience and elite human performance. 


In 2012 Jonathan started Grounds For Promotion (GFP), a digital marketing agency, which specializes in lead generation through online advertising, including PPC, Facebook, LinkedIn, and display. To give back, GFP donates time and services to Community First Foundation, Boulder Mountain bike Alliance, and Adoption Options, which is Colorado’s first adoption agency.

Anne-Worley has been invested in and committed to the climbing and outdoor community for almost 20 years. She has worn various hats, from USA Climbing’s first Executive Director to serving on the board of the Access Fund and the International Federation of Sports Climbing, and was instrumental in bringing the first IFSC Bouldering World Cup to the US. 

Shannon graduated from CU in 1969 with an MS in Geology, and claims "Geology is the bedrock of my intellectual curiosity and spiritual life.” Taking almost 50 years to get back to Boulder, her "forever home,” Shannon lives in Old North Boulder and is an active participant in all that’s interesting in our small cosmopolitan city by volunteering in University and community activities, and philanthropy.

Elizabeth was born and raised in Chicago in a family rooted in film and entertainment dating back to the silent era. She studied classic film through osmosis, developed a passion for storytelling and decided to follow in her family’s footsteps. She went to film school before moving to Venice Beach, Los Angeles to work in studio film development. While in LA she also wrote, produced, and directed many of her own projects, focusing on satire and dark comedy. She also played guitar and mandolin in an indie folk rock band called Hiasakite, (pronounced High As A Kite).

Phil Armstrong moved to Colorado fifteen years ago because he loves living in the mountains. He holds a BA from Colorado College and an MBA from the University of Colorado. Phil is an entrepreneur working in the utility-scale renewable energy space, and is a principal at North Star Renewables, which helps large energy buyers and utilities purchase renewable energy. 

Meet Ret Taylor and Adriaan Zimmerman, two inspiring business members you should sit down and have a chat with. As Co-Founder of Ned, a high quality CBD oil and CBD products company, Ret is inspired by his passion for natural remedies and empowered by his fourteen years as a successful entrepreneur. Prior to starting Ned, Ret worked to bring environmental stewardship to Saudi Arabia, co-founded the Green Building Council of Brazil—the country's leading voice for sustainability, and taught thousands of New Yorkers how to reconnect with nature and move naturally through the city's most popular Meetup group, MovNat NYC. Most recently, Ret spent a decade as Founder and CEO one of the leading sales groups in the hospitality furniture vertical. Ret is most passionate about experimenting with and helping people thrive through the powers of nature, nutrition and movement. 

Anthony Levy was born in 1994 in California, raised in St. Louis and moved to Boulder in 2012 to begin his academic career at the Leeds School of Business. During school, Anthony started a non-profit called Bridges: Bridging Generations Through Technology Education, where he found his passion for forging intergenerational connections. Anthony graduated from CU in May of 2017.

Anthony is the newest member of The Grounds For Promotion team, a digital marketing agency founded by Jonathan Sackheim. Anthony specializes in digital advertising for the 4 person agency, , helping to continue their growth trajectory into the stratosphere! 

New Business Member Kubs Lalchandani is a Boulder native who has returned home from Miami to spend time with his family, and to help his girlfriend Dr. Karen Oberthaler build a veterinary cancer center.  

Daniel grew up in Boulder and graduated from Boulder High School in 2010 before moving to San Francisco to study Mechanical Engineering and Computer Science at Stanford University. While in school Daniel ran several successful Kickstarter campaigns and licensed numerous products to Boulder based Nite Ize Inc. Upon graduating, Daniel combined his product development expertise with his newly acquired coding skills to algorithmically automate the design process. The code he developed systematically explores underserved product segments and forms the bedrock of his design company, EthicMade.

John Maggio stopped to see a friend in Boulder 25 years ago and, as luck would have it, the natural products industry was really just kicking off. He is probably best known for founding his first brand, Boulder Natural Foods, and the internationally distributed brand now known as Boulder Canyon (aka. Boulder Potato Chips). He facilitated the sale of Boulder Chips to a publicly traded snack food company which has since been purchased by Utz Quality Foods in November 2017.
