Highland City Club's 16th Anniversary
Sixteen Spring’s ago we launched Highland City Club with a Utopian vision to create “A Safe Space for Passionate and Caring People to explore our differences, find our common ground, and make the world a better place while having fun.”
We have come a long way since then, having expanded from a dark section of Highland’s basement to the entire building. In the process, we have launched Highland Institute for the Advancement of Humanity, with the long-term goal of growing it into an international entity modeled after the Soho House in London, Aspen Institute, and the Bohemian Club in San Francisco.
While Highland City Club is still in its teens, and Highland Institute a mere newborn baby, they seem to have good genes, and we have the resources and dedication to nurture them and see them grow into their potential. Meanwhile, we continue hard at work to convert our 130-year old historic landmark into a hospitable home for these entities, grow our membership with an eye to quality over quantity, continuously upgrade our technology, and help our members grow and prosper.
To celebrate Spring’s arrival, and our 16th anniversary, this week’s Newsletter is dedicated to food and its importance to our physical and mental health. Please plan to join us next Friday at lunch to toast Spring’s arrival, our good health after a year of a bad pandemic, and City Club’s 16th anniversary as a community.
Enjoy,
— Sina.
