OUR EXCITING NEW FOOD & BEVERAGE PROGRAM!

From Napoleon Bonaparte to George Washington, every general knows “an army marches on its stomach.” At the most basic level, this means soldiers, workers, employees, or anyone else we expect to perform a task can't function properly unless they are well-fed.

For the past 43 years, food has been an integral part of our Community. From our initial tiny residential kitchen functioning on a sump pump, to the licensed luxury commercial kitchen we have today, our primary focus has been to efficiently serve our members the highest quality food at the lowest possible price.

To achieve the above objective, we previously focused on efficiency and cost, by limiting to one hour the duration of our popular self-service buffet lunches. However, the pandemic forced us to rethink our process, concluding that we must change our focus from cost-saving to providing the most accommodating food program for you, our members.

To help pay for this program, we seriously considered requiring a new minimum monthly spend on food and beverage, and eventually decided we’d rather pull than push – as such, we are asking for, rather than requiring our members' support, hoping that in the future we can expand our service to include morning breakfast and evening cocktails and light dinners.

In light of the above, we are launching a completely new food & beverage program starting in the new year. Every single aspect has been rethought from the ground up. To start with, we will revive our daily buffet lunches and will augment it with a separate daily food service from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm, offering delicious, simple, healthy food and drink options when and where you want it. While this undertaking is a financially risky move, we believe it is an important next step in the evolution of our comprehensive food program.

In addition, we plan to more than double the size of our kitchen through its expansion into the old spa area, as well as the hiring of additional staff to support the new and proposed expanded service program.

We ask for your help to make this bold move a success and thus encourage the further expansion of this food offerings and service hours. Please look out for updates and provide us with your feedback after the programs’ launch.
