The Act Of Creation

I am a builder. I am rarely happy unless I am in the process of building something. Many studies indicate that the act of creation is 3% euphoria, and 97% sheer boredom and frustration; but the euphoria is so addictive, we put up with the rest. Thomas Edison expressed this concept more eloquently when he said “invention is 1% inspiration and 99% perspiration.”

Building the City Club community is a creative act that fits this formula. As our club continued to grow, we were forced to adopt a new operating platform to better manage our affairs. We tried to accomplish this task last year and failed miserably because we picked the wrong software and the wrong internal team to execute it.

Earlier this year I asked my son Dustin to take on this challenge, and am happy to report that after months of research and four months of execution, with your help and cooperation, we now have a beautiful and powerful App, and every City Club member’s account has been successfully migrated to the new platform.

In the next few months we will further refine this system by adding parking, printing and electronic front door access to the platform, meanwhile, I want to thank each and everyone of you for putting up with this long and painful process to help us accomplish this important task.
