Training Hundreds of Baristas

Until recently, a luxury office building was defined as a clean and safe work environment with running water and electricity. Today’s tenant needs are more complex, requiring crazy-fast fiber optic WiFi, sustainable food at affordable prices, and great-tasting free coffee, the lack of which forces a tenant to spend at least 20 minutes and nearly $5 to secure one, often more than once a day.

We are proud to serve locally sourced and freshly roasted BOXCAR coffee, and are excited to announce we have finally secured a sophisticated Swiss-made, commercial-grade coffee machine that allows our Business Members to make an extremely high-quality Espresso, Americana or Cappuccino using Whole Milk, Almond Milk, or Oat Milk in a simple two step process.

While there are other fine establishments in Boulder who offer great coffee, City Club’s coffee is unique because it is fully based on trust. In 2005, when we first proposed to offer great food at discounted prices based on a self-serve, all-you-can-eat policy, we were told it can’t be done because people will abuse it. Today it is hard to imagine City Club’s food served any other way. We now plan to extend this policy to our coffee program and trust that our sophisticated tenants and Business Members will take the time to learn about and use the machine properly, and clean up after themselves so their colleagues can enjoy the same privilege.

We encourage all Business Members who are interested in making their own coffee to take the time to learn about the operation of this new machine and cleanup procedures by contacting adminteam@highlandcityclub.com for a two minute tutorial on how to use and clean the machine.
