Alex Gerber

Alex grew up in the foothills of Albuquerque, NM, and was an accomplished swimmer. He then moved to Texas to attend college in the late ’90s where he studied business and economics. After college Alex worked as a commercial real estate developer until starting his first company in 2009. After the sale of his company, Alex formed GerTeck Holdings to make strategic investments in businesses and opportunities that were aligned with his and his partner's purpose of providing enduring value.

Alex was heavily influenced by his Grandparents who left a comfortable life in Chicago in 1970 and moved to Santa Fe to pursue their dreams of having land and horses and being a Judge (Grandfather) and Art Gallery owner (Grandmother). In 2018, Alex moved his family to Boulder to pursue his dreams mostly around the quality of life in a community of enlightened people with shared values in a beautiful mountain setting.

Alex spends Mondays at Highland City Club working on his various business ventures, and the balance of his time he trains and competes at a high level as a triathlete. Alex also enjoys skiing, travel, camping, and helping raise his two boys ages 6 and 9. As a side note, Alex is seeking help in creating an inventory and liquidating over 2000 art pieces, and welcomes guidance and recommendations from members.
