City Club Business Member Matthew Klein is the co-Founder and CEO of Backbone, Boulder's fastest-growing solution provider for product development and design software, paving the way for thousands of successful and emerging designers. With decades of experience in the retail and consumer goods industries, Matthew built an extensive knowledge of getting products to market and tackling the industry’s largest hurdles developing quality consumer products while reducing waste and improving speed-to-market

Hailing from Australia, Alex is one of City Club's (and America’s?!) newest recruits. A happy victim of Chief Niwot’s curse (if you sleep in the shadow of the Flatirons, you will always return), Alex has fallen in love with Boulder, Highland and the wonderful people who call it home.

Ed is VP of Machine Learning at Nurx, a telemedicine startup providing safe and affordable access to healthcare for sensitive health conditions such as reproductive health and HIV prevention.  

Ed came to Boulder fifteen years ago to serve as a professor and department-chair at University of Colorado. After a decade as a faculty member, Ed left CU to build AI and data science practices at Seagate and Sears, and help launch several startups.  

Julie is the Executive Director of the Oreg Foundation, which, amongst many other good deeds, has led the effort of to create the magnificent Boulder Jewish Commons, the campus that includes the JCC at the NE corner of Arapahoe and Cherryvale Roads in Boulder.

Julie feels fortunate to be able to combine her personal passions with her professional work in supporting educational, environmental, Jewish and local community service initiatives. She has been involved in Colorado’s non-profit world as a professional and lay leader for over 25 years, and serves on the Board of Directors of several other non-profit organizations and committees. 

Catherine Walker was born and raised in Columbia, South Carolina. She received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of South Carolina and a Graduate Degree in Wine Studies from the Culinary Institute of America at Greystone. Upon graduation from the CIA, she passed levels one and two of The Court of Master Sommeliers Examinations. In addition to six years in the Wine and Beverage Industry as a Sommelier, Manager and Sales Professional, she spent the last two years working as a Stylist and Sales Professional for a concept space that combines contemporary fashion with fine art. We feel fortunate to have Catherine as an integral part of City Club’s new management team.

Scott Peppet is the President of the Chai Trust Company, a family office based in Chicago, and Director of several public and private corporate boards.

Amongst other things, Scott is a Professor of Law (University of Colorado Law School, 2000-2018), teaching contract law, negotiation, counseling family enterprises, the law of non-profits, and legal ethics. Scott is an ordained Zen priest, and a backcountry hiker and skier who uses his substantial knowledge and influence to fight global warming.

After years of contemplating relocation, Howie recently moved to Boulder from Chicago in order to spend less time in a city and more time embracing his passion for the outdoors. He feels fortunate to have the flexibility to work remotely for his Chicago-based boutique investment firm although he maintains a healthy travel schedule. In his role as Director of Emerging Markets, Howie finds himself overseas routinely as well as in NYC and Chicago. 

City Club members since January 2018, Kapta team's Alex, Ben and Lesley are often spotted drinking tea and working on the 3rd floor, or in the gardens during the warmer months.

Leslie Poladsky is a Colorado native without the bumper sticker on her car flouting that fact. Lesley is a student of life and human nature with a passion for coaching people to get out of their own way to reach their full potential. Married to Robert, her high-school- sweetheart-turned-husband-of-13-years, they practice what she preaches. Her love of the outdoors, hiking, photography and travel have taken Leslie and her husband to many places in their RV during an 8-month adventure with their two dogs.

In our City Club community, Ashley is best known as “Parker’s wife.” But that is about to change!

Due to popular demand, and a lot of begging and arm twisting by Sina, Ashley who is a talented musician and a natural attractor, has finally agreed to step-up and step-in to start City Club’s much anticipated Thursday night “Live Music Jams.”

Libby feels fortunate to have found the City Club community and a space to call her business home. Having covered the Front Range Residential Real Estate market for the last 10 years, her passion lies in focusing on her clients investment, and not just the transaction. Her goal is to help people figure out what makes the best financial sense with their real estate portfolio.

I'm a lover of food and flavor. I simply cherish the way food connects us to our memories, loved ones and culture.

Some of my fondest memories dwell in hot summers spent with my grandmother baking Lebanese bread and fresh baklava, peering over her countertop, fearlessly tasting fresh, lemon-drenched raw lamb, seasoned with herbs from her fingertips.

After being an actress and TV host in Paris, Sarah turned inward to study personal and professional life coaching, specializing in neuroscience. In 2010 her passion for science and spirituality brought Sarah to Miami where she attended The Barbara Brennan School of Healing.

After graduating in 2014, Sarah joined the medical team at The Canyon Ranch Spa and Hotel as a doctor in energy healing science and a speaker providing a weekly lectures series. In 2018 Sarah returned to the BBSH for advanced studies, where she became a group leader and facilitator in personal and creative healing processes, traveling the world to give speeches on higher consciousness.

Pete Enichen moved his law practice to Highland in the summer of 1999, and recently celebrated his 20th year as a tenant and City Club member. Specializing in Wills, Trusts, Estates and Asset Protection planning, Peter believes Highland’s historic nature and image of stability gives his client a sense of comfort while dealing with major life decisions.

Brady Robinson is a climber and conservationist. His career has included over a decade at Outward Bound and 11 years running the Access Fund, the national organization that keeps climbing areas open and conserved. He was recently hired as the Director of Strategy and Development for. Tompkins Conservation creates terrestrial and marine national parks in Chile and Hi Ian!

Marni has spent over a decade creating health-focused DIY personal and beauty care products that preserve health and prevent illness naturally. A tireless researcher and problem solver, Marni’s obsession for all things natural and healthy blossomed with the birth of her first child 17 years ago when she discovered the Weston A Price Foundation, a non-profit dedicated to traditional, nutrient-dense whole foods and healing arts; and Waldorf education where she co-founded a Waldorf School in Chicago.
