Pat Kennedy

Raised in Buffalo, NY. as the oldest of six, Pat was blessed with a loving family and brilliant grandparents. As an enthusiastic footballer and swimmer in high school, he focused his zeal for life into a five-year degree in International Economics with distinction from the University of Buffalo.

Anxious to depart Buffalo, Pat spent three years at a West Coast consulting firm specializing in digital technologies and production optimization designs. As an encore to consulting, he spent five years in San Diego cutting his teeth on all things wireless, and for the past 32-years loving life in Boulder as an entrepreneur focused on building Cellport System, which specializes in connected vehicle technologies, securing four essential patent portfolios, and promoting open licensing of connected vehicle designs and software.

Brett Zimmerman

Born and raised in Colorado, Brett Zimmerman discovered his passion for wine while working his way through the University of Colorado, first as a busboy and then as a waiter for Boulder’s Laudisio and Flagstaff House. After graduation, Brett was accepted for a sommelier position at Charlie Trotter’s in Chicago and continued his education after relocating to San Francisco as a sommelier for Aqua, before returning to Colorado to open his own restaurant, Mateo.

Three years later, Brett left the restaurant business to focus on his true passion – fine wine – taking a position as Colorado’s General Manager of the American Fine Wine Division of Southern Wine and Spirits. This dedication to his craft culminated in the spring of 2007, when he successfully passed his Masters Examination and earned the highly coveted distinction of Master Sommelier.

Craig Jones

Craig Jones is a husband, father, dog friend, and businessman. Born and raised in Northern California, Craig has lived in London, the Boston area, various Bay Area California locations, and twice in Boulder, in the 1980's and again since 2013.

Craig was trained as an attorney but turned his back on the law (mistake?) to go into business, spending 25 years of his career as a venture capitalist with an emphasis in healthcare and technology. Ten years ago, Craig began to invest in private equity at what is considered the very low end of the market in small but profitable companies throughout the US and Canada (with two investments in Boulder and Longmont).

Sergei Razgulin

At his core Sergei is a software engineer, with deep family roots in engineering and the Silicon Taiga. Originally from Akademgorodok Russia (the technological hub of Siberia), he moved to the US in middle school, grew up in Boulder, attended Boulder High, and later got his Masters degree in Computer Science from CU. After graduating, he worked with various software companies, from tiny startups to several major corporations, and on projects such as software security for code escrow and discovery, socially aware advertising networks, and more recently, processing and analysis of big data for cloud-on-prem systems.

After graduation from Boulder High, Sara spent 10 nomadic years exploring the world outside the Boulder Bubble. When she graduated from Barnard College at Columbia University in New York City, Sara wasn’t quite ready to settle down; so, she spent six months working at a pub in Galway, Ireland before moving to San Francisco and attending law school at Hastings. After a couple of years doing the big city law firm gig, Sara happily heeded Chief Niwot’s call to return home loving Boulder more than ever for having lived away for a while.

Douglas Gardner

Douglas Gardner grew up in Wellesley Ma. and had the urge to travel from an early age. After graduating from Denison University with a dual degree in Economics and English, he scratched that travel itch by joining the Peace Corps for service in Burkina Faso.

A subsequent masters degree in business, leading to a job in the three-piece suit on Wall Street with the Chase Manhattan Bank did not cut it. He grew up in Golden, Colorado and has since made Boulder his new home. You may often find him riding his Trials Bicycle on the CU campus, Dirt Biking in the Colorado Mountains, or even Downhill Skateboarding on the local steep hills.
